Catching up

Liz reminded me that I have not followed through on this blog so I'll give it a try.
First and most important I have been feeling great and the kidney is working well. All checkups have been good and I have only had to travel to Savannah to a Emory satalite transplant clinic every 3 months. I am now on a 6 month schedule and labs only monthly. I do have a post transplant "incisional hernia" which translates to a "bulge" on my right side. It is fairly common and I've had a CAT scan to determine if it may become a problem. They don't seem concerned so I'm not either. Turk reports that he occasionally has a problem with some assigned tasks around the house because,he says,"I only have one kidney "
We have been enjoying the warm weather and occasional rides over to the beach where Kidney has a ball. She loves the water too.
Susan is getting more involved in golf and getting better. She is a steady member of the CCHH ladies team. I'm on one of the committees and see what is going on. It is a very nice club and in great shape. Ammenities are all top notch as is the food.
I am hearing rumors of a reunion at Hilton Head next June. I'm looking for information for Kath about a 3/4 day stay. Really hope it all works out.
I'll try to add some pictures and updates occasionally. Check out Liz's blog, it is a good one.

Great to see your post. I am planning to be out your way next summer with the kids, so let's keep the dialog going on places to stay. We will probably be there for more than a few days, because we won't be traveling around the east coast for other visits. We will want to get together for an afternoon with the other couple that adopted with us. They live in Mt. Pleasant...somewhere near Charleston. Keep them coming.
